The Student World
In the year 2017-2018, we introduced Good Karma students’ movement at our school to inculcate the Good thoughts and Good behaviour along with the values of life making our students role models not only in the field of Education, but also in all activities be it cultural, social or general thereby finally grooming them as good Human beings. Good karma teaches values through books, films and even through experiences. Many of the life history of great people are exhibited for the students to learn and understand how they became successful.
Motivational speeches are also introduced for empowering their good spirit. Good karma annual day is another feature that differentiates our school with the rest. We have introduced the magazine “The Student World” giving opportunity for the students, teachers and the parents as well to showcase their inner feelings and thoughts making them prepared to be the writers of the future.
On behalf of Board of Directors and Management of KCA St. Francis of Assissi International School, I am delighted to present ‘The Student World’.
This publication, a ‘by the student, for the student’ initiative will take you beyond the school, into an exciting world of creativity and innovation. It will evoke inspiring thoughts and ideas, and encourage you to share them with others. Joining you in this team work will be your beloved teachers.
We started ‘The Good Karma Student Movement’ two years ago. The motivation behind it was the inherent but untapped potential within the education system and the opportunities it offered to prepare ourselves for the future. No one could sum it up better than Mahatma Gandhi:-
“We assess the value of education in the same manner as we assess the value of land or of shares in the stock-exchange market. We want to provide only such education as would enable the student to earn more. We hardly give any thought to the improvement of the character of the educated.”
While we strive to realise Gandhiji’s dream of “improvement of the character” through our ‘Good Karma Student Movement’, we remember with respect the selfless contributions of the founder members of KCA. We also express our gratitude to all the Executive Members and Board of Directors of KCA, in particular Mr. Joy Varghese Pareckattil (President), Mr. C M Chacko (General Secretary) and Mr. Thomas P George (Treasurer), for their generous guidance and support.
